Abstract Expressionist Artist - ELLA SIPHO

U-nique Sipho paintings are original one of a kind works of art. Because the technique in creating her pieces has a minimum to do with brush strokes. But a combination of using several process, FLOWING FLUIDS, BRUSH STROKES, FINGER STROKES and PHYSICAL ROTATION OF CANVAS to create variance in flow and texture.

Abstract art is more than just blindly throwing paint on a canvas. In Sipho's case, it actually requires skill and a keen color sense. Not to mention the ability to feel and convey flowing movement.

In addition, it requires experience and familiarity of the liquid to know when it's too runny or too thick. Even the artist (SIPHO) cannot reproduce her work as a (duplicated original) work of art. As her work is UNIQUE, COLORFUL, BOLD AND Filled with Energy.

Since Sipho's stroke in late 2005, she has developed a new style of painting. She compares it to a master cake decorator. Her paintings are loaded with layers of paint, just like frosting on a cake.

ABOUT ARTIST IN BRIEF:

In late 2005 SIPHO had two life changing events that happened. She had a hemorrhage stroke that put the right side of her body in paralysis. She couldn't walk, feed herself, cook or write with the right side of her body and numerous of other things. Sipho had to change the way she paints in order to continue painting by using her left hand most of the time.....She also became the winner of the acrylic category of the First Ever Premier Fine Arts ARTV Award.
